AWOL

Let's be honest. I haven't devoted much time to the blog the past few weeks. Not that anyone really cares other than my parents & siblings (smile). But I feel like I've totally slacked on documenting/journaling our life. I've just been busy as of late and most my spare time is spent cleaning, cooking, doing dishes, laundry, more cleaning, more cooking, chauffeuring kids around, and grocery shopping. Sewing & crafting has been pushed to the back burner and to be honest I haven't been feeling very "creative" and "crafty" lately. I think my body & mind are tired. Maybe it's because of this ...

I took the plunge and signed up for the half marathon this April. I know, stupid of me huh. But I've been trying really hard to run everyday or do zumba/elliptical on my "rest" days for the past month. Needless to say, I'm exhausted mentally & physically. I'm probably going to regret this and I'm sure that my body will revolt against me for the tyranny that I will bring down upon it in a few months. To say that I have been sick to my stomach over it this an under statement. I literally want to puke at the thought of running for that long. The one good thing about it is knowing that I will be running with a couple of my sisters. They are the reason I'm doing this. They inspired me to set the goal and take the 13.1 mile plunge with them.

So, if you see me on the road running, please be kind and don't run me over ... then again, that would be the easy way out :)

I swear

If I hear, "Auuuuugh! Stupid mom!" followed by screaming & tears one more time today I am going to lock myself in the bathroom and scream bloody murder for the entire neighborhood to hear.

I am seriously beginning to think that my kids are the most selfish, spoiled, boogers on the planet. Thank heavens I am going running tonight.

Robot Love

I found this great kit at Michaels last month on clearance that let's you build 5 wind-up robots. We busted it out a few nights ago and here are the results ... some serious robot love:

Happy New Year

I really can't believe it's 2011 and am currently dealing with the shock of how quickly 2010 came & went.

But we hope you had a fabulous New Year's Eve/Day. Here's how we spent ours ...

Needless to say, it was a perfect. And now, we get to go back to school, work, and normal life.
